My Interests
I am pursuing a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology at the University of Washington. My research interests include the genetic basis of robustness, the ability to maintain a phenotype despite perturbations. With Sonia Singhal and Clementine Dunnell, we are working on an experimental evolution project in which we evolve phi-6 (an RNA virus) to thermostability. Once the phi-6 have achieved thermostability, an example of environmental robustness, we will be able to explore the genetic basis of robustness among many other interesting questions. On my free time, I also enjoy traveling, reading, and baking.
